• Yang di-Pertuan Agong is on a six-day visit to Qatar, as he is personally invited by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani.
• Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali confirmed that the government has terminated the services of Datuk Seri Mohd Shafiq Abdullah as the Public Service Department (PSD) director-general.
