Yang di-Pertuan Agong is on a six-day visit to Qatar, as he is personally invited by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani.

• Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali confirmed that the government has terminated the services of Datuk Seri Mohd Shafiq Abdullah as the Public Service Department (PSD) director-general.

• The High Court has insisted that the trial of a defamation suit filed by Lim Guan Eng and his son, Clint Lim, against blogger “Papagomo”, will take place in mid-2024.

• Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa defended a move to provide free sanitary pads in the health ministry’s toilets, stating that it will give the ministry a better insight into the operational aspects.

• Malaysia must restructure subsidies that had been benefitting the “super rich groups and conglomerates” and should instead be targeted towards supporting the B40 and M40 groups, stated Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
